In Honor of our Mom

"Clothed In Scarlet" is a tribute to my Mom. Why Clothed In Scarlet? As you read the scripture in Proverbs 31 verse 21, you see this woman had no fear, because her household were clothed with scarlet. She prayed the prayer of salvation over her household, protecting them. Her household was clothed and covered in the blood of Jesus Christ, so no matter the storm, she had no fear. My Mom Dared to Dance, she had no fear. She had complete faith in her Saviour's promise. She was a strong woman, a loving woman. She was very gifted and loved primitive crafting among many other projects. She enjoyed working with her hands. She passed down to me her love of crafting. The coverlet you see is one she made a few years ago on her loom, and is absolutely gorgeous. I will be starting a charity in her honor and donating knitted hats, scarves, socks, afghans and whatever need may arise. These items will be given to needy people and hospice patients. My precious Mother passed away November 22, 2007 on Thanksgiving morning. Cancer can't touch our soul, our spirit, our heart. I watched Mom as she grew weak and frail, but her spirit never failed. And with grace she accepted God's will, it wasn't cancer that overtook her, but the promise of eternal life. And it was with that grace and that promise that she gently closed her eyes and received the gift of eternal life. Mom told me once, "see the miracle in death, death is as much a miracle as a baby's birth". She's right, death is an eternal miracle. For the death that overtook her frail and weak body succumbed to a life... eternal, where cancer can not enter. So, this is in honor of her memory. As her hands will continue to reach out to help others.

A Work In Progress

This is definitely a work in progress. So please be patient. Thanks.
